Banned Books Display

What does The Kite Runner have in common with the Ender’s Game? At one time, each has been on the American Library Association’s list of banned or challenged books. Both are also on display this week as part of our exhibit celebrating Banned Books Week. Founded in 1982, the campaign supports promoting intellectual freedom by providing access to works with diverse and even unpopular viewpoints in library collections.

Stop by and check out the exhibit, and pick up a bookmark!

For more information, check out the ALA’s list of frequently challenged books, or this interactive timeline. How many have you read?
